Video1 In the fall of 1943, amidst heavy nuclear development and testing, the Philadelphia Experiment was launched with the goal of 'cloaking' a naval battleship by bending gravitational fields. The hope was that by utilizing the new theories that had been developed by Albert Einstein, scientists could make our naval fleet invisible to both radar and the naked eye.
The experiment was a failure, but as is the case with many large-scale war-time projects, other technologies were born.
