Up selling is not really stressed IN OUR FRANCHISE. We average a $25 add on per job (usually tile as we’re in Florida)... we move MOST furniture as long as the customer removes electronics and breakables prior to our arrival (which they are told over the phone when scheduling). I do find that more and more customers do not want us to move very much. Maybe just the small stuff. WE ALWAYS run s 2 man crew so I think that helps with efficiency as well as sheer volume of jobs (about 45,000 per year) help with profitability. We get GREAT deals on chemicals as well. Recently I saw s post on here about %if revenue O/O were spending on chems. It really was surprising. We’re around 4%Don’t think I’m making fun. I’m not.
I just find it amazing that you can be profitable doing multi step at those rates. And you’re moving all the furniture too?
I’m certain upsales are stressed?

300 is worst case scenario. Most aren’t. Maybe I should clarify. $35 Per Room, up to 300 EACH room. Combos (lr/dr) count as 2
Yes but we discourage it for sake of the future. Unfortunately you give 15, they take a mile. Next year the customer wants you to “just hit the traffic pattern inAre your techs allowed some leeway when pricing a 315 sq ft room? Meaning let the extra 15 be included in order to not piss off the customer?
I agree, because I charge by the area, which is an average 12x14 sq ft roomYes but we discourage it for sake of the future. Unfortunately you give 15, they take a mile. Next year the customer wants you to “just hit the traffic pattern in
This room for me”.... unfortunately a unsuspecting tech the following year gets treated like an ass when he try’s to do things properly the following year and no clue last years tech “gave some leeway” To be honest I always though 300 per room was a lot. Most of my local competitors ads advertise 200 or 250 sq. Ft per room. ZeroRez in Tampa for example is 200 sq. Ft. per room
WOW.... wasn’t aware that selling a product and/or service that you’ve spent years perfecting was something that would be frowned upon. Sorry Tom and Erik if you’ve been harassed. Then again, the hell with them.Maybe Tom doesn't want to get beat up like Erik did by a bunch of broke dick losers for selling out to the man, did you dopes ever consider that?
Sorry Tom and Erik if you’ve been harassed.
Eric's a big boy. I'm sure he just blows off mindless bather
Tom on the other hand, is a bit geeky and OCD .......it might weird him out

Wait till those $2000 crbs start breaking down from lack of maintenance and improper use.

Sounds like you have good gig going though.
i was talking to a 70+ truck franchise owner today about them and I was telling him how much the guys like them. He said “yea but how do you know they are really using them when you’re not looking” I told him, because FOR NOW have told them not to clean them. Each morning, one of the first things I do is pull out all 4, disassemble, clean and wipe down with WD40 (I know, not the bearings)... this way I can visibly see how filthy they are, and can verify their use and maintenance.I know I can’t do it forever but it takes only 20 minutes and I can ensure they are being used until their use becomes 2nd nature and instinctual with my guys. (Same thing I did with vacuums BTW)Wait till those $2000 crbs start breaking down from lack of maintenance and improper use.

If it makes you feel better that 70+ owner ordered a zipper today to test in his marketI’m beginning to think you’re Mikey
SCREWING WITH MY HEAD!
That’s was my plan. Our current glideless wands are currently our main source of agitation without the CRB’s. Unfortunately that means I’ll need to acquire more CRB’s... thx for the suggestionCJ
I would recommend that you only send out wands with the 4 crews with the CRBs..
The glides and lack of aggitation will be a tough transition on filthy carpet.
So when the techs are responsible for maintenance an additional 20 minutes per job or will they run them dirty on the next customer like they are doing now?i was talking to a 70+ truck franchise owner today about them and I was telling him how much the guys like them. To be honest, they’ll run them dirty and clean them once daily... also the 20 minutes was for all 4. Not eachSo when the techs are responsible for maintenance an additional 20 minutes per job or will they run them dirty on the next customer like they are doing now?
Customers will love that.To be honest, they’ll run them dirty and clean them once daily... also the 20 minutes was for all 4. Not each
Still cleaner than when we arrived. Plus my customers love s low price... if I need to decontaminate everything that comes into their house between jobs that’ll get expensive and my techs will be taking 5 showers a dayCustomers will love that.
