I do a large amount upholstery cleaning and a very good percentage of this is microfiber. I usually have a lot of success even with very dirty upholstery.
A couple of weeks ago I went to clean amongst other things an American
comfort TV chair that had a huge dark grey stain [about the size of a dinner plate] on the back cushion where the head rests. I pre sprayed then hand applied shampoo and extracted it with water. All to no avail. I also tried on a small area of the stain POG also unsuccessfully.
I now by chance have another microfiber TV chair with a similar problem

Any ideas.
With thanks
Harvey

What causes that? I had a standard armchair that had the same issue around the heard area. It span the width of the head rest. It was darker and didnt even lighten, it was there before the cleaning. It had almost perfectly straight lines and about 10 inches in width.

I treated it like oil from the head, but nothing.
