Friday the 24th and Saturday the 25th, fly or drive in Thursday for a impromptu hang session near by.

Classes, demonstrations, tons of hands on both days.

Friday afternoon we'll take a field trip across town to Pro's Choice/ CTI/ Full Circle for a tour of their facility a class or two and a hosted dinner party.

Saturday night will be spent in Old Town Sac with a group dinner.

A Owner Ops round table featuring Joe Harper.

A Vendor spotlight session where each vendor gets 10 minutes to present their product or service to to the whole group with a prize going to the most creative presenter. Cleaners with a gadget or unique idea to show off are welcome to participate.

Looks for classes from Basic Coatings on quick and easy wood floor cleaning and sealing
Stone Pro on counter tops cleaning and sealing
Rug cleaning in the home demo by Aaron Groseclose and not that Barry o'Connel douchebag.
CTI and or Harv Weeelyright color repair
and much more to come

After a conference call last night with ProLine I think both Mike and I were surprised how much on the same wavelength that we all are. Steve Kaufman the owner of ProLine has attended a MF before so he gets the drift.

We are very grateful and fortunate that Proline has offered to host our 8th MikeFest. Proline is a large and successful operation with an exceptionally broad range of products that would accurately fit the description as an industry superstore. Actually they also have another store in San Carlos. They are one of the largest ProChem dealers in the country and also sell Sapphire Scientific and Masterblend.

For several years Proline have held some of the largest and most successful customer events in the country. Because of their substantial industry connections and event experience and the past success of our fests Proline and Mikey's Board hope to use this synergy to offer you the best selection of vendors, products and hands-on that has ever been offered at a MikeFest.

So here's the value to you if you participate. Business for many has been exceptionally challenging so some of us are considering what additional services we can offer our customers or that will attract additional customers. At MikeFest 8 it appears we are going to have the best showing of products and services beyond carpet cleaning that we have ever had. Of course we are going to have the latest and greatest carpet cleaning stuff, contests, shoot outs and play time with the tools. And those also promise to be better than ever too.

Now about the town hall open mike session. Yeah, Harper's putting up a fuss but he'll come. This open mike town hall session will be about the common sense BUSINESS SIDE of running a one, two or three truck business. No boot camps, DVDs or monthly commitments. Just plain old bootstrap experience answering your questions and debating with each other about your businesses - not their training programs. The panel will be made up of your most respected peers. So as we get closer we will fill the open mike session expert panel with people who you think are credible and relevant to YOUR business.

We are looking for your suggestions as to who you would like to have on this panel.

Just TWO days guys! Besides learning a lot you're going to have a good time too.

This is looking like one of the best fests yet.

So fly in on Thursday and be ready to start taking it in Friday morning and return home on Sunday all charged up with some profitable ideas for your business.

Steve Kaufman here for the first time. Just wanted to let you all know we are very excited to host Mikeys Fest next year. I believe Pro Line and our staff will show you all a great experience. We will do everything possible to make this next Mikey's Fest the best one ever and plan to make sure in will be hard to beat in the future. We already have some great new ideas you haven't seen anywhere. A lot of partcipation from all of you will be highlighted.
Wait to you see the number and variety of vendors that we be showing. Between Mikey, Bob. me and Noel We've got some really terriffic plans but we're looking for more. So Let us know what you'd like to see and partcipate in.

I think I can mark my calender for this event.... How far away is this from the nearest airport? I'd need to room with someone too, cuz I'm a cheap ass BDCC! We can split the cost of the room... =) And preferably someone who doesn't mind a chick or 2 sleeping over too... Don't worry, I share... lol...

SAcramento airport is about 20 mins away....easy small airport.

Let's do Joes Crab Shack in OLd Sac....great area.......It will bring Bawb back memories because it kinda looks like a western town.

I'll be visiting family.....Maybe look at some houses.

Steve Kaufman is a great guy. Past pres of CFI, and a supporter for years and years. I'm sure he will be an excellent host. CTI guys also - great group.

I mentioned to the CFI current pres (Graham) to contact you Mike in order to help get the word out. Might as well use their network to help bring in more CA cleaners.

Sac is an easy place to get into...

Thunder Valley Casino is about 20 minutes away...if that.

It's not Vegas but it's a cool casino. Last I remember they were building a hotel on top of it.

Don't know yet... Pemberton and I are coordinating a number of events in 2012 around the US - so I have to see what ends up on the calendar. We will be picking 20 companies a quarter to work with, so I need to see where that takes us.

I'll know in another month, after we see how well we do with our PA and FL groups, and if we get them growing their rug/fabric cleaning divisions substantially. How well they do will direct us on whether we roll this out to more companies aggressively or not. I always like to test the water before I jump in.

I'll let you know though if I'm dropping by. You've heard from me the last 2 years, so I won't be teaching. Give the crowd a break.
