The last Mikeyfest at Nashville was the best one I have ever been to. Nashville is very fun. You walk from one Honky Tonk listen to some great Rock band, walk 30 feet and listen to a great country band, then go another 30 feet and listen to a big band. It is the music capital with some of the best talent trying to make it big.
July is a rough time but Nashville is great

Jack Daniels (Lynchburg is about 90 minutes to 2 hour drive from Nashville depending upon what part of Nashville you start in and how the traffic is. I have done that tour enough times to give the tour. Jack Daniels was right in my back yard and one of my regular customers when I was actively cleaning carpet.

Interlink Supply has some special deals with nearby hotels for students in the classes we hold. I suspect those hotels would honor the same for Mikefest if we asked them. Let me know Mike if you want me to check on this.

Nashville has some great shopping at Opry Mills, large Bass Pro shop with its own lake for any interested in fishing.

Opryland Hotel could be a tour in itself.

Antebellum homes in Belle Meade section, Hermitage (not the one in Russis) Museum, Civil war battle fields at Franklin, Stone's River and Murfreesboro.

Lots of natural beauty nearby - Henry Horton Park, Percy Priest Lake, Radnor Lake And a little farther out is Fall Creek Falls (several movies filmed here), Tims Ford Laek and other parks.

I guess not.

Honkytonks and

uh..

honkytonks aint going to do it for my wife.

What does your's like to do there?
I used to spend a great deal of time in Nashville back in the 90’s. We always went to Blues Alley - great music. Classic rock and blues. So much more to Nashville than music.

I don’t know about you boys, I just want to have fun. I hope my husband will go… Maybe if our daughter will drive down from Chicago (her beau is from Nashville) he would be more interested and going on the JD tour would help. He really doesn’t like carpet cleaning or my laundry business. We only have cattle in common. If I had married the JD distiller I wouldn’t own either business or be in this much debt!

John, would you go if you could see a hair band in concert?

Michael, who invited you to surfaces? I don’t remember approving that. I will not let you walk around with me - period!

Scott, I will be in touch - your suggestions are really interesting. I see a real vacation in the works!

Atlanta is more wife-able
I don't know what's wifeable about Atlanta. The only thing I'm really interested in is a Braves game. The aquarium maybe. We are going to do Atlanta, though, because I don't think the later dates will work with my other schedule. From what I remember, Nashville is awesome. I have relatives near there, so I went a few times when I was younger. Hoping Scott will want to go to Vegas in September. :) I really want to get there sometime... Just walking through the themed casinos sounds fifty kinds of awesome.
