While we can talk about the most overused words on the above thread, lets be creative and come up with some better ways of saying it.
The words we use are basically to catch people's attention to draw them to our ad/signage.
What words would you use?

I'm moving from the word "Professional Carpet and Uph Cleaning" to "Advanced"
A friend has used the word "Premium"

Useless and over used expressions in our industry. Ya swear they were taught by the same 5 gurus...

Like words like sale, guaranteed, save and free..

And what for each phrase would you replace it with.

I’m thinking about trying some reverse psychology in this year’s yellow pages.

Here's a simple change that will both be fresh and give yourself a raise while you're at it: Instead of "Carpet Cleaning $9.95/room" it could be changed to "Carpet Cleaning Two Rooms for $19.97." This capitalizes on the Walmart use of ending pricing in .97 or .98 instead of the tired and useless and over used .99 and .95.

For print advertisements photos are now used as the main focus almost more than text.

Remember it is not the single word that draws in the reader. It is the entire sentence.

Often this can be done by asking a question. The ever popular, 'You got dirt?' for instance. Or by mentioning how you can solve a problem or in some way improve the life of your prospect.

Be creative:

Tired of looking at dingy carpet?

Say goodbye to pet odors.

Guests coming? spot and stains leaving.

We make cleaning easy.

Love your carpet again.

Don't replace when we can restore your carpet.

We don't smoke in your home (From Bane ads)

Are those questions getting over used as well?
Or is it that WE see them so often and think they are over used?

How much of the "overuse" is just US getting bored with saying the same thing over and over?

Questions are used for a reason.
Every sales person (and most carpet cleaners)know this.

Not only do questions attract attention and demand answers.

They also, channel the discussion into the direction wanted by the sales person.

For instance:

Do you want cleaner carpet?

Would you like your carpet to last longer?

Would you like that Kool Aid spot or dog smell removed?

Would you like your sofa freshened up while I'm here?

Would you like me to catch those Bedroom walkways?

The right questions are money in the bank.

They are the tools of the trade. They can be a lot more important to the success of your business than your wand or truckmount.

Just use them as a pro untill you reach your desired result.

so you're putting an ad in the yellow pages, but you won't accept them as a customer if they call?

Let us know how that turns out!
