think this would be great idea just not sure how to go about it--wouldn't it be great if somehow we could get a list of people, names address and phone# who are in the process of moving from one home to anther, surely most of them are either cleaning carpets from where they are leaving or to where they are moving to or maybe even both-if there was a way to target these people think there would be alot of work there--thought of talking to uhaul and other truck renting places but how to do something like that with them is the hard part, or getting a list of people who have just purchased a new house--these are the questions and task at hand--anyone have any ideas of how to go about this

Look up your local neighborhood Welcome Wagon. They market to people who are moving in......those are the ones you can get the repeats of course.

There is a furniture removalist compoany locally here that uses RE signs as a basis of marketing. Everytime a new for sale or for rent sign goes up, they send in a flyer advertising their services.

The down side of people moving are that often they can be only one time clients.
This can be true but also if they are satisfied with your work they will surely spread the word to neighbors / friends in the area also.

We found welcome wagon was too late- by this point they are already in and the carpet was cleaned (usually by us :-)). It sis work somewhat for our retail business as the new homeowner would often need rugs.

Remember....a customer is not a customer without a carpet.

It's the house you want.

Get into the house...even if it's a one time for the customer because they are moving...you always leave your literature behind for the new tennant.
