Multi Sprayer charging time? How long?

Picked up a really nice used multi sprayer last week(270$!). It's the battery one that charges from the cigarette lighter.

Just wondering how long one of these takes to charge? Does a 15-20 minute ride from job to job charge it?

Can I just plug it into the lighter without the van running for a few hours? I wouldn't think that would drain the battery much..?





I should just get the cord that plugs into the wall at home, charging w/the van seems like a pain. Nice option to have, but a pain.

Hi Jerry, we plug ours in at the shop from the wall and during the work day from our 12v. outlet on the Butler panel (same as cigarette lighter basically). Gene, at Multi Sprayer, says you cannot overcharge these batteries and they last longer when constantly fully recharged as often as possible. Gene also says you get one minute of sprayer use for each 2 minutes the sprayer is plugged in. I can't vouch for that but ours rarely lose charge during a shift with our routine. Do you also have the small sprayer tip to switch out for lighter spraying for furniture?--very handy. Not sure about your questions regarding charging from the cigarette lighter without van in use--you could possibly discharge your truck battery. We charge ours from the 12v. outlet on the Butler panel which has a switch for it that we turn off when the truck is not in use.

I just bought 3-new ones all corded though. Spent another $500.00 to up grade all our others to stainless lances, new spray guns, solutions hoses, switches and one pump.
Gene is nice guy, love his sprayers.

We have outlets in every room in Alabama, and the sprayer comes with a cord.

But, you really get spoiled by not needing an outlet--especially on commercial.

We use to have all battery but switched back to corded as they aged out.

I became too frustrated with tech's not keeping batteries charged and us needing to run charged sprayers out to them .

Yeah, Richard, they can be a pain if you don't constantly charge them. Just takes an established routine. I think charging them at the shop overnight is the key to trouble-free performance.

yea it wasn't the fault of the battery, just the techs.

We have all corded and they work great in residential. I am getting older and noticed that in the 55 and olded community home the plugs are easy to find an 2 feet off the floor.
Less furniture as they got rid of all the BS in the downsize. As I continue to age I may become an adult community specialist. Cleaner carpets, coffee and homemade cookies, and no stairs.

When not inside being used, keep it plugged in...between jobs, over night, thru the weekend or all week when on vacation

the battery will last longer and it was always be fully charged

I keep mine plugged in the van all the time, sometimes during the winter when on vacation it may be plugged in for a week or more and has never run down the van battery.

Got to try it(multi sprayer) out today, worked great. Very cool little thing to have. Going to get a couple of extra jugs, one for scotchgard, Maybe upholstery.

I was amazed how quick it went through a couple of gallons of encap.

I think the M-2 is a 50 psi pump and the M-1 a 70 psi pump.

I like the quick release on the jug. Nice improvement over the old units.

had mine for 10+ years now, same battery. of course i don't clean as much resi carpet as most of y'all. the manufacturer told me to ALWAYS keep it plugged into my cancer stick lighter, and that that is the best thing for this type of battery...so far so good.
