Paperwork was so piled up on my desk that finding a receipt i was looking for was nearly impossible.

I hated to spend the $300 but getting the paper monster under control was worth it.

Now, every receipt is accounted for and can easily be found using a key word search.

It's pretty fast too. It can even run reports for the accountant including cash purchases w/ pics of the actual receipt.

Highly recommend

Looks like a neat machine George.

Is it electric or battery operated.?

The price difference is "interesting", here's the home page with price of $399.95, located elsewhere on the site, (cart).

While over at Walmart, ( if you can stand the funky clientele ), it's variable.

PS::

As far as I can determine, it will work with Windows XP / Vista / & 7, we are now on Windows 8.

From many reviews, it is not getting good software reports.

How is yours going, any problems??

Meanwhile, down in Oz, with the high $$ exchange rate, I can buy this for only AU$560.00

I bought one, but it did not integrate with my version of Quickbooks (2008) nor did it work with the way I utilize QB's. It was also really picky about the stuff it scanned in. I sold it on Ebay.

Take care,
Lisa

Hi Amy,

if you want the best scanner you should look into the Fujitsu Scansnap ix500. The major problem of the Neatdesk is it's proprietary software that cripples your abilities. If you use Windows I have been told it's very good. I personally run it on a MacBook and it's awesome. You can do all sorts of tricks including auto file as you scan if you use tags and keywords. Costco and Amazon sell them.

Thanks. I am an imac user. I was just at costco yesterday. Too bad I live 3.5 hrs from one. I'll order one.

Appreciate your response.
