Can't find a manual for this..

So every 50 hours or so I'm supposed to fill up a bucket with 3 gals of warm water and ten pounds of diluted sodium and run a hose from the softener into the bucket. Attach a drain hose and...

Where do I set that dial?
Does it need to be plugged in with it's electric cord to purge or is that just for the 12 hour clock on it?
How long does the purging take?

help!

I have one just like that.
Yes, the power needs to be on to regenerate and just turn the dial to regenerate.
You do not need to waste 10# of sodium to regenerate.
Get a small plastic brine tank, throw 40#'s of softener salt in it, cover it with water and let it sit.
The next time you regenerate hook up the brine tank to it or draw a pail off it to use that, then replace what you use with more water. If you have room in the truck just leave the brine tank attached. It will automatically refill the brine tank during the last step of regeneration.
A 40# bag will give you many more than 4 regenerations.

You say regenerate after 50 hours. What is your average hourly water usage?
I have mine set to regenerate after 1200 gallons but that would depend on the incoming water hardness in your area.

It should only come out during the last step of the regeneration process which is to refill the brine container with the liquid it used during the regeneration process.

The one good thing about Kinetico softners. On the run regeneration. As for the price???

Way more than most cleaners will pay.

Kevin,
If you have yours set to regen at 1200 gals does that mean you have it powered from your van some how?

Mine is set up in the garage.
It will flow 1200 gallons before it regenerates.
I have onboard water (210 gallons) so every 5-6 full tanks it regenerates.

I have since backed mine off to 1000 gallons.
If I pushed 1200 it seemed a tad hard but it all depends on your incoming hardness.
