Eh?
Eh?
OK got me curious and interested
how do you calculate the cost?
are the solar panels "forever"?
(meaning they'll last a generation without replacement)
What's the cost to buy and have them professionally installed and wired?
need batteries to charge?
if so, what's the cost and life cycle on them?
what would the equivalent cost of electric be to power the same LED lights you're using ?
(using national average of 11-12 cents pr KWh)
I'm genuinely curious if/when all the costs of solar panels (and all ancillary components needed) how it compares to flipping a switch to power the same needs @ 12 cents KWh
thanks

I sure wish we could install a windmill in the backyard.
think it was 48 cent a kilowatt.

and I though JimN at 25 cents was stoopit high
25 is our 1st tier starting rate.. however If you have an electric vehicle and charge it between midnight and 7am then the rate is .12 a kWh.

The problem is you are still running the vans motor to power the unit. They are just using a generator instead of a drive shaft. No environmental difference from a regular CDs.
So the rate is cut in almost half as is your bill. What are the solar panels doing? They just cut rate for the install...Oh because I WAS a high energy user I paid the highest rates at I think it was 48 cent a kilowatt. Now I'm at 28 cent per.kwh.
I'm talking about the xdrive. Not a hybridIt's a Hybrid . . .
, no gas for the 1st 40 miles
(less environmental impact too)
I'll admit more up front cost.
