These assholes harasssed me pulling a trailer

you worked full time out of a trailer??

and using a 175 to agitate the carpet

you can't get any better .
a rotary is far superior for shearing soil off fiber.
anyone that says different is too stupid or inept to know better

CRB's are good for digging crud, but don't come close to shearing soil like a rotary

if that wasn't true, no one would be using that yellow monster called a Cimex or shake 'n shine machines in com .
They'd all be using lighter/easier revolving brush machines

CRBs are much lighter and easier to use is why they're so trendy among the pack following de jour crowd here.
Not because they're better at agitation than a rotary

Like you said Larry the crb digs more out!

Are way better at pile lifting, and on the newer non crush resistant carpets can make restorative work a breaze.

A 175 is great for a lot of things.

But it's size and weight make it less attractive for 4-5 jobs daily taking it off the truck.

Well i am trying to figure out how to get a TM money wise, the other cleaner i mentioned that i work/help form time to time who has a TM,
his TM is a Judson and he's had it for over 20 years now. their good simple basic not a lot of bells and whistles which i like as thats less to go wrong, i would add a little giant heater for heat for another 1500 or so. I live in Calabash NC, closest place to me is an hour drive away and they sell and service the judson so thats another reason i'd go with it. this is the one i'd want i copied and pasted this from there website

The TNT by Judson is the most reliable and easy to maintain truck mount cleaning machine available to the carpet cleaning and restoration industry. The TNT is an extremely dependable machine designed with over 40 years of truck mount manufacturing experience. Continuous cleaning temperatures up to 250+ degrees for hours on end and a powerful #45 Roots blower deliver cleaning power that is unmatchable at this price.
$12,549.00

I don't like buying used stuff so i'd buy this one new. But cannot put this in a dodge grand caravan so need a van too but van does not have to be brand new, just my cleaning equipment.

A little about me, I started a janitorial business, carpet cleaning, stripping and waxing floors office building cleaning back in 1985 after i got out of the service (Army) Ran this business in Long Island NY for 5 years before i sold the business minus my equipment and moved to San Diego CA where I restarted only this time did carpet cleaning only commercial and residential. I did this for another 10yrs before i got out of the business. Then in 2010 while living in Denver CO I got back into it, for the 3rd time now, Can't help it I guess I just like doing it but Boy i missed a lot as far as how much better the equipment has gotten and yes even portables have come a long long way since the 80's. Anyways moved from Denver back to Long Island NY in 2011 bought my stuff with me and continued on, then in 2014 moved here to Calabash NC and continued on and am still going.
Current equipment i own...Mytee LTD5 extractor, Mytee air hog vacuum booster, Mytee hot turbo heater ( i don't use this much) A 175 with solution tank and carpet brush also a pad driver for it.
A 15 inch CRB, Orbot Vibe OP machine, oreck orbital, a spinner tool for tile and grout and a water otter pump for when i use the spinner, a hard surface wand, two carpet wands, a stair tool, an upholstery tool, various sprayers along with a hydroforce in line sprayer along with a lot of other odds and ends. I work hard and do great work I do no advertising at all and still get work, all repeat and referral and thanks to a property manager i met who likes me and gives me work as well.
I've been a good boy so i'll ask Santa for a truck mount this Christmas and see what happens, LOL

Dam i wrote a friggin book here, sorry guys

why you move around the country so much?
is it the loan sharks or the cops getting too close to catching you?? :dejection::lol:

The Jud TnT has been around forever (Sunbelt is a private labeled TnT)
LOTS of them on the road ..never ran one, but have little doubt it will serve you well .
and simple and basic enough, you won't need to drive an hour for service

simple/basic open design TMs like the Jud are no more complicated to understand or work on than portys

Well i've only lived in 9 different states with a 2 year stay in Wurzberg Germany. A portion of my moves were due to
being in the military. And some were after, but at 56 years old (not that thats old) I think i'll stay put here in North Carolina.

I've read and heard good thing on the judsons and to be fair on others as well. But i don't want something that can't be service locally

Judson builds a great simple unit but DOES NOT like heat exchanges. He did build a nice water cooled unit with a heat exchange but stop making them for some reason .Very smart man when it involves the carpet cleaning machines and related items. jz.

Jack Zerkie ;

Having used a Dynachem TM with SS Heat Exchanger,

how would you compare it to having a propane tank to fill up every week,

& a propane heater ??

Larry,

I've read through this entire thread and I didn't find anywhere where you mentioned what diameter these new vac motors are. What size are they actually?

You mentioned that they are more powerful than 8.4's:
AirWatts on this new motor is higher than two-stage 8.4" Ametek vac motor (over 700).
but the specs you have mentioned (in addition to more than 700 airwatts):
These new vacs have 166 CFM each . . .
Far more than any vac I've seen.
And the lifetime of these vacs is rated @ 1500 hours,
I'm guessing they are 110" of lift each.
seem to exactly match your LMB7A (which is a Lamb 122171-07) - 717 airwatts, 166 cfm, 110" lift. So it would seem the new motors are at least as powerful as your 8.4" LMB7A, but it doesn't seem to be any more powerful...

What am I missing?

These vacs are exclusive to Mytee for a significant period of time.

It would up to John to announce their exact specs.

Specs are close to the 8.4" Dan referenced, but John has already mentioned that the diameter is 6.6".

I think Ametek is using the fan from that 8.4" in a more efficient 6.6" motor & frame.

Whatever they are doing, both John & I are fans of the performance.

They will be at the Las Vegas Experience in a few days at the Mytee booth.

Hope to see a few of you guys out there; testing it for yourself.

P.S. There was NO hyperbole from me in this thread
