Bad enough a set of new tires cost $700 .... :dejection:

Think i would pay double if i could skip the sales pitch that comes with it. Maybe steve should start an sfs for tire salesman.

I love getting new tires. I get over the sticker shock quick; it goes on my credit card so it's buried in with next month's bill and I just pay the ticket. New tires and a bitchin alignment and I can go tearing around like Dale Earnhardt Jr. Now the $850 to fix a leak of fluid I paid today, a hydro-boost, sucks.

It's that time for us as well - buying winter tires this year for the fleet. They are less $, and end up taking a about a 1/4 of any years road time away from their more costly summer counterparts ;)

Firestone Transforce HT for this guy - all the way. $155 a pop for 245/75-16, they wear like cast iron. I average about 50k out of them.

I skip the pitch, order from tire rack - take to a local tire chain for install.

Lifetime balance and rotation with their paid install service.
