Yup. If a guy does a ton of upholstery, this is my preferred length aswell.
I run stainless steel braided solution hose inside my vac line on my SS Upholstery Pro tool. When we do large amounts of commercial upholstery, (carpet AND upholstery), without a doubt, I love having a very long lead on my upholstery tool. Still even, when doing a very large sectional, it’s nice to have enough give on the hose to complete the job. I’d never go back to 8-10’.

This is what i use to bypass on all my upholstery tools its built from off the shelf parts from a kleanrite solvent tool. It's simple and can be easily removed if necessary
