My Royal does an awesome job vacuuming stairs. For any corners or edges it misses, the truck mount gets the rest. Just drop the handle all the way and grab it low, and suck away.

I think there is a market for servicing strata apt buildings with just vacuuming. Most of the buildings I work in have inadequate vacuum service. Usually someone comes in once or twice a week and runs some type of upright over the hallways. I see a lot of buildings that never get the higher surfaces dusted or vacuumed as well as the stairs. I have been toying with the idea of equipping someone with a back pack vacuum to do all the high stuff and baseboards, etc as well as a good quality commercial upright. Hire someone with their own vehicle and use them as a helper on larger jobs maybe.

Yes. It is the one you find on Craigslist for $50. That is the right model. Clean it, replace the belt, bag and beater bar and go wear out some carpet.

Why not an 18" Royal?

I burn brush rolls like I burn clutches in my Cleanco but it's still a great tool.

I have the 14" Royal..Love it great vacuum it will outlast any dyson out there, cost less and performs much better, its a no brainer
