So van is getting Rhino Lined and will be ready tomorrow. Large hose reel is being blasted and will be ready tomorrow as well. I blasted solution and fresh water hose reels myself this morning for $30. Still have to paint all three.

Looking to mount my solution line on my back drivers side door. Will be going to local shop to get mounting racket made on the cheap. Jobs booked for Thursday and Friday but should be done by Saturday evening...

Also have a simple shelf being installed. Total price is under 1k CAN.

Today's work at you blast. Was under time constraints...could have spent more time on fresh water reel...

Still have to prime and paint the hose reels. And figure out a way to mount solution line on back door.

Something to hang the wand on...have bungee cords to fasten it....but then again the clattering may drown out the wife:)

Looks kinda trashy but it will do for now. Going to mount my solution reel on it. Using a round metal plate of similar size at a mounting bracket.

I'd pull it off to bold the reel mount through it. I'd also bolt it to the door where you can. Screws are ok as a place holder but with the weight of the hoses and reel you're going to need bolts or those bolt serts.

I have room for 4 bolts (wood to door frame) and 2 bolts from solution reel to wood. Just waiting until I get the reel back from shop (small side job for an employee at the metal fab shop). This is temporary.

One thing that I have noticed during this process is how crappy of a job they did installing the TM. The waste tank could have gone forward at least another 10 inches which would have given me more room. At the time of installation I did not know jack about jack so I had no idea. They even bent one of my heat exchanger nubs putting it into the truck.

And to think I even tipped the installers.

I bought a 2002 Ford E-250 van a few months back, with pwr(power) locks, pwr windows, and pwr mirrors, with an amazing 26,000 original miles on it (Car Fax), with the original factory spare, which is also brand new. I am in the process of setting it up. Inside looks brand new; seats, dash, door panels, etc.

I will be installing my original #4 blower CT Truckmount, after prepping the hose reels for new primer and paint, along with the machine frame. I removed the factory insulated rubber floor mat and installed 3/4" pressure treated plywood over 40# roofing felt to act as a gasket for the floor, and re-installed the factory floor mat.

This is the third van this truckmount has been in, since 1985. It just won't die, not that I want it to.

I prefer to use a clean, older, low mileage van as opposed to a brand new one, because I get to keep more of what we make this way, as long as the machine is still providing more than enough power for all types of cleaning. This van was $4500.

I am also installing a new 100 Gal fresh tank which has a built in wand holder, to answer your question. That won't really help me though as we carry 3 wands all the time; 2 to use, and one for a backup, if necessary.

Good advice in this thread - ceiling is good as long as you are in the roof supports. If you can't be in the roof supports to put it right where you want it, bridge the roof support with another piece of steel to make a bracket for a wand holder.

Rock On

So 8 days ago I posted a picture of the inside of my van for some feedback. And boy did I get it. My wife is Russian and they have a saying "behind every joke is a truth" (rough translation). All humour aside the message was loud and clear. I appreciate the HONEST feed back from ALL of you in various forms. I am appreciative of that. Thank you! To be honest I felt embarrassed and I took action.

This revamp got me excited about cleaning carpet again. I needed this. I am glad to be on this forum and a part of something. For better or worse you are stuck with me and I with you!
