Nick's free loading trailer trash neighbors will be just thrilled with Jim Smith's presentation on color correction in the 4th paradigm.

A few photos from the the BBQ:

Nick & Ara Klugian from Chicago showing their form to win some of the door prizes.

4 Piece Bluegrass band played some nice Banjo.

One very surprising result to me, was that "wand pushing" exhibited 2" more hg. than "wand pulling".
That is 20% difference for extraction direction.

Any ideas on why we observed that much difference ?

Because Nick's POS tank is cracked and 2.5 overwhelms it.

I cant not fathom with that dude form Chicago drove all the way down for some stale BBQ and to see Nick's POS rattle traps. The ride back will be the longest of his life.

Boy that *** crew is sharp.

lordy.

How's about some more names to match to pics?

Larry, you asked:

Larry"

Unless I'm missing something, this happens everyday, when you LEAN on a wand you compress the fibers and pad that much more, therefor introducing Resistance and restricting airflow, I would expect the HGs to rise with a push stroke.

Might pull a bit more water for flood extraction, but not carpet cleaning, I'll take the airflow of Not leaning on a wand, and a well designed 2" wand doesn't need any leaning, it grabs harder than a poorly designed 1.5" regardless.

Please tell me someone in that crowd had a decent 2" wand?

EDIT..some how I missed GreenJuan's post.
But I ain;t deleting what I already typed....

not being there to see the operators, it could be as simple as the operator applying a bit of downward pressure on the wand handle when pushing forward.
Even if not using the grab handle, just the dynamics of pushing a wand would increase weight of wand carpet interface compared to pulling it.
I'm sure the type carpet and wand can contribute to the "grabbing" effect when pushing forward too.

Its always easier to pull a wand that push it, whether glided or non.

That downward "grabbing" effect on the forward stroke is the most logical reason (to me anyway) why you saw the increase in HG on the forward stroke, Lar

Larry;

I was watching the carpet during those tests.

When downward pressure was applied, the ripple of the carpet looked about the same in both directions.

With fours panels of carpet in the 100° sun and ~ 1 hour between tests on any panel...

the carpet was quite dry to the touch.
