Larry;

I was watching the carpet during those tests.

When downward pressure was applied, the ripple of the carpet looked about the same in both directions.

i don't know what that means, Larry
Nor am I sure it matters what it "looked" like to the naked eye

obviously (seems obvious anyway) the only reason the HG would increase on the push stroke would be due to tighter "lock down" on the carpet.
restricting airflow and increasing lift
Just seems a no brainer to me, that it's due to the dynamics/physics of pushing a wand forward compared to pulling it.

It's being drug "over" the carpet when pulling.
it's being pushed down a bit "into" the carpet when pushed

lay a wand on a scale and drag it backwards.
Watch the scale wt increase when you push it forward

maybe I'm missing sump'um, but there doesn't seem to be any surprise about the increased HG to me

What you want to measure is recovery, not Hg.

Also, what type(s) and brand(s) of glides were used? Wand brands? Flow and heat?, Fittings on the vac hoses (wye, joiners, cuffs, etc.)?

Take care,
Lisa

Lisa;

Most of the testing was actual water recovery after 1 min continuous spray extraction followed by 1 min of dry stroking over the 4' x 8' panels.

Wands Tested included:

1.5" x 12" CMP 2-Jet Industry Standard
1.5" x 12" Low Quality Single-Jet
1.75" x 14" CMP w/ 4 Angle Jets
2" Prochem 4 Jet
All with #8 Jets total.

Glides Tested included:

Mytee Banana Glides
GreenGlides - Combo

All testing was done with TM engine @3600 RPM and #45 blower developing 16 hg. at the truck.

The relief valve in the picture (Nick's TM) ....

is NOT what I would use on a TM...

but it IS BETTER than 90% of the relief valves operating in the field.

Yeah it looks like they were having a good time.
Why do you suppose you're not seeing suppliers or manufacturers etc like they had at mikey's fest?

probably has nothing to do with Nick's "all other machines are over priced junk but those Dynas are OK cause I owe Larry money" attitude.
