That was my concern when everyone was talking about the clear hand tool.

I could see it might be good on a commercial demo!! Especially if you were using it on a Tom King Midnight Match Up. "Wow, see how much soil that last company left behind". And hope that no one pulls the same thing on you!

Agreed on commercial its not their soil but co workers.

In the home its all the clients body oil, perspiration and spills. :eekk:

Regarding the SS, clear upholstery tool.

I'd actually consider it an advantage for the cleaner (forget about the clients, they usually go as far away from the cleaning as they can).
The advantage being that it will show if the fabric is rinsing clean or still soiled.

Most of the preconditioners that we use for upholstery do not rinse out of fabric as easily as you think, especially since we try not to use a great deal of water during the rinse extraction step.

Issues with browning, texture, and dyefastness can arise due to too much residue being left behind.

I've also done a number of tests with fabric protector to show that it does't work nearly so well on residue laden fabric.

If a clear head doesn't get damaged by cleaning chemicals ( a BIG if) and abrasive soil, it could be a great aid to assessing residue removal and your actual soil removal as well.

Mikey thanks a great Fest. The speakers were fantastic with a wealth of knowledge and I appreciated everyones willing to share knowledge and help us build our businesses. We had the opportunity to see old friends and meet new ones. I really like to talking to Bill Yaden and relive memories from the 60's,. We are probably the only ones there that remember that is summer is the 47th anniversary of the summer of love in San Francisco. I bought the VAIRO from Rick at Excellent Supply and I am pleased with my purchase. I think it will be a quality machine that will give me good service. Rick is a class act,

That's awesome Jim let us know how you like it. For us we already own a couple of Orbots and love them but if we need to add another OP machine the Vario is certain be a serious consideration. :icon_cool:
