I was very surprised at the awesome results. No more swirls than other rotary tools.

YES it can be abused, so use with care on carpets that would also flare with some wands that have jets close to the carpet. We are still playing with it finding the limits.

Use the Teflon lip and upen up the relief slot till you get it where you like it. After do a set of dry strokes and a post pad with some encap wouldn't hurt and make you look like a superstar!

we did 1 of our quarterly's yesterday, they moved out of their office space into a new larger one. we had to clean the old space. 2 flights of stairs along with 12,865 sq.ft., of which about 9k is a call center (= tons of spills)...no chair mats in the building. dark brown carpet with severe wear under all the chairs in each cube (they removed all cubes, so it all shows up really nice.) no rust, lots of gum and "melted" hard candy. Hel-Gel on those. for the carpet i used snake @ 10 oz. per with bullet @ 4 oz. and ammonia @ 4 oz. cleaned up great. nothing could be done for the soil-staining from the chair wheels grinding it in. 11 hours.

i'd use the snake at a very high dilution ratio for that dining room!

never had to clean dirty carpet before ? flush it out and it won't wick. the hoss or the zipper will easily do the job. we just did a job for the church that size that kids eat and played games in all summer long. nothing but spots from sodas and who knows what. looked awesome when dry and problem free. but hey thats the zipper for ya.

i'm completely amazed at how well the zipper eats up carpet. it has easily become the tool of choice. it's only flaw so far was the sight tube collapsed . peroxide and ammonium kill them every time. we have the club house next friday thats right at 8000sq ft for the 4th time. premium carpet that's used for dining, parties, plays and anything thing else they can think of. it's always a disaster but cleans beautiful. can't wait to see how the zipper does time wise on it.

So here is the worse of it..

For today we did a side area about 1900 sq ft.

Their head of maintenance was there with us the whole time asking questions and taking notes. They dont have the man power or hours to clean it themselves at the moment so the two of us brainstormed on how best to go about getting them clean and keeping them clean..
They vacuumed with a nice Proteam upright/ with beater for us.
Cimex and Snake oil @ 6ounces per. had to go pretty slow to break down the spills and followed behind with damp OP pads under a 175, came out looking great. Almost flawless.

You can see the Cimex'd half in the back..

Next we pre sprayed with SnG and tried the SX15.

No go. Hooked up to the Mighty Vortex it would not move off or along the carpet. You 45 blower guys may be able to use a tile tool, Not us.

So we used the HOSS and it got along great with the concrete underneath. He was very impressed with the soil load being shown in the site tube. We both agreed the Cimex'd are looked better while wet, but he wants it flushed, not just visibly clean.

So If they OK my price now that I know it's going to take roughly 650 ft per hour to Hoss it, I'll send them a quote for *** an hour and we'll get to work on the rest of it next Friday in 4000 ft intervals. They can't do it all at once as the dining room needs to be used for church groups.

I bet he buys his own Cimex to go along with all the other junk he had in his closet..

that place is trashed like you said...way worse than my job the other day. that 2-step VLM process you used is killer.

You could if two of you, Cimex with diluted precon and the second guy rinse with the Hoss. When they are that trashed we either HWE or Orbot to pickup the heavy stuff and Cimex everthing. With your closet of tools you can do it many different ways.

I can't see pre scrubbing making it go any quicker with the HOSS.

I just keep going until the water looks clear.

Which will be a huge benefit in the room where those large spills are.

Some post padding in those areas may happen

I'm late to the party, but this would be the ticket. Prespray down with cimex & brushes (not pad) follow with the hoss. The prespray can be heavy and even coverage, plus won't dry early from being sprayed.

I like your closet mike. Love the vac, it is my favorite. One thing I did was add a dirt cup to it. It is great for showing the customer what you are removing and it makes cleanouts very easy.

i agree. the carpet does looked hammered in certain area's.

no doubt i would pre-condion w S&G or Powermax mixed with JJ as a booster.

then, a quick scrub w the 20" CRB AND EXTRACT WITH THE ZIPPER.

goodnight ladies

So you liked his proteam?

If he buys a cimex and can handle the after smell, I would have him use peroxcelent from vacaway, if peroxcelent isn't rinse out it seems to keep working

The spinner is hard to push with the vac relief wide open but easier with a good prespraying, run it at 500 psi and it uses a ton of water

I still have my 20 year old portable just like his blue one, looking at his equipment, he has soaked the rug in the past, you would think a good rinse/flush would take care of a lot of problems

Hard?

Try impossible.

Maybe the 1.5 Hybrid tool, not the new SX with the full two inch hose to the floor.

Besides why bother when the HOOS works so well.
A tile tool isn't gong to deal with uneven concrete any better then rotovac would

the idea of cleaning carpet w a tile spinner is very interesting. mikey, you should ask one of your friends to design a ptototype with all the bugs worked out.

I just ordered what we'll need from jermcapstore.com

Jerm sold me on some 8" Tuuway pads that have brown ultra stiff brushes imbedded in them. 1500 ft per side then wash em in a bucket and keep moving. Actually absorb some dirt so hopefully we can skip the post padding.
Albert is going to loan me his Cimex so we should be able to plow right through this job.
