In my experience, there is a distinct improvement in drying times when using a two inch wand. I don’t think very many would challenge that. I’ve never tried using 2” hose coupled to an 1.5” wand, so I don’t know if it is an improvement or not. Back in the 90’s, the improvement was HUGE and worth the drawbacks because my old, underperforming TM’s were so inefficient; however, that’s not the case anymore. The difference today is no longer worth the physical punishment and property risks associated with using 2” hose. I’d be willing to speculate that a lifetime of using 2” hose and wands will take 10 years off of your cleaning career. If I could go back and begin my career over, I’d have sliders, lift buddy’s and a 1.5 chosen wand with a hole
glide from the beginning.
