Got a call from the FAA today they have 5500 sq ft facility and want it padded only tons of wires and computers they want no smell and low noise, from 10 pm to 4 pm on a saturday night is $1375 to low and what would be good to use.

Thought Procyon or the carbonated cleaning stuff? Tons of wires runnning under the plywood, and its carpet tiles.

The Janitorial staff said the AT controllers are really sensitive almost sounds like to big a risk and a pita.

So a multi sprayer light spray, then rotary scrub 175 and follow with a post bonnet????? 2 machine's 2, men sounds doable?

They want msds sheets up front to.

Now that I have access to a cimex I thinking about giving it a shot. I have a huge job coming up. I'm curious how you actually use that thing. Yes I get the basics Marty. What I curious about is the solution. Pull the trigger and go forward and then turn around and scrub again. What's the pattern? Does the flow have a control or is it just on and off. Where is Marks how to video.

PM me your number and the best time to call you and I can walk you through any questions you might have. Its not a miracle machine but inthe right situations it can really shine.

There is also a new Hi-Speed 1.5HP Rotary with Spray System. . .
that Paul Brown has been using for commercial encap work.

My only fear about having a spray system out ahead is control of the spray, probably a pump sprayer or multi sprayer.

My problem is investing in stuff I might not use agian for a while. I do have a 17 inch 175 1.5 hp. If it was an account that needed it once a year maybe, but thye seem to be having a hard time pulling the trigger on this cleaning.

Also have a 13 inch hild, and hopefull a 10 inch crb by then. I could have two guys scrub while I bonnet.

The Cimex is very quite.

Shower feed so just walk and pump the trigger with every step.
Heavy soil may need two wet passes.
Always do a dry pass as well.

Post padding with Micro or Cotton and a 175 is a wise move. Slop up the glop you just broke loose. Pixie crystal can only do so much.

and yes they do keep the carpet cleaner longer by continuing to work. Seen it in my own home.

Pre spray coffee spots and grungy areas with stronger Encap and or Ammonia. No more than 200 feet ahead of yourself.

Your 175 would do just fine, you can use it with a shower feed or a pre spray or both.
A vct pad or a good brush for the bad areas followed by an absorbent pad. Procyon Extreme cleans great and has no odor.
Save your money on equipment and invest in some good pads and change them often.

Also they went with the carbonated solutions over procyon, I said they were both what they're were looking for I'll still probably mix up some procyon plus as a spotter on a spray bottle.

I ordered the carbonated solutions monday said it wouldnt be here until next tuesday in an email, was thinking thier getting Procyon, but it came today so I'm happy I can give them what they're asking for.

I've never gotten good results with tuways on a 175.
On 5500 sq ft of carpet using a 175 and Procyon depending on how dirty the carpet is, I would use anywhere from 10 to 20 cotton or micro's if my goal is to remove as much soil as possible and not just encap.

We did it! Finished just after 300 am got a credit card before we started $1300.00 my son and I.

Brought a lot of stuff, got a $400 multi sprayer from magicwand. And the carbonated solutions.

Decided to use the crb first then pad.

My son would spray about 1-2 gal. Of solution then crb and I would follow with a pad we both had a little Procyon plus mixed up as a spotting solution. If it looked like it was starting to dry I would use my hand held mini upholstery spray bottle I would re wet then pad.

99% spots and stains came right out looked a lot better when we finished and was drying under an hour.

Dang swinging a 17 inch buffer for 5 hours straight sucks!

What sucks more my son using a 10 inch crb on 5500 sq feet LOL.

They want us back next year.

I said I'll only do it in January when it's slow and I'm not making no money!

By then I'll for get how hard it is to work all night.

you said they chose the Carbonated Solutions over the Procyon originally...
Why the switch?

  • Personally I would have used my Vario with on board sprayer. Even Jimmy's grocery bagger could run it with one hand.
