Enjoying that last morning coffee with all of you in the beautiful Florida weather! Dolphins playing in the Bay. Watching from 4th floor condo balcony.... Back to the cold soon.

Sure do like this weather... Snow, slush, ice again at home the boys have been battling.

Fly out tonight...

Convention went well for us but unfortunately have to get home to some super big jobs.

One of those a hotel job we got because a MN hotel owner met me in Florida watching us work during the Mikey's Fest.

Wonderful job... Good Karma came our way.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

I always say in the middle of winter "I want summer."

And in the middle of summer "I want winter."

The perfect coffee was brewed at 4:30am and was consumed while walking around the beach in the dark and disturbing smooth layers of sand...then sitting around waiting for the sun to come up....oh yeah...

Zee, you have the soul of an artist.

I also have his body...

In the trunk....at my farm.... behind the old tractor that's grown over with weed.
Soon I'll need a new phone...it's becoming increasingly difficult to unlock the phone with his finger that I keep in my pocket..... I don't know...something about skin and fingerprints - they don't last too long.

Zee, that's beautiful.
My wife thought it was incredible and asked what do you use to leave these tracks?

I told her you're 4'10" :winky:

Thinner lines are done by a stick (a simple broomstick). the darker wider shades are done by a leaf rake.

I'm 4'31" to be precise...the alien analogy fits but not the small green Martian but the Tall Whites category.

How long does that take to do zee?

Are you appreciated?

Is your art appreciated?

That was about two and a half hours...

Am I appreciated? I'd say yes...but not in a dollar/cents way.

My art is appreciated with likes and magazin stories. This here, got about 1500 "like", "heart", "wow" faces and about 140 awe and admiration comments...in one day.

I also come accross a lot of my work being posted on Instagram by people.

Do you groom carpets creatively? There must be a temptation to do so if not.

Never really think about it.

Seriously, I forget about this hobby completely...I usually don't bring it up to my customers either. Maybe because I deal with customers on a daily basis that are -what I call- "Wikipedia customers". Meaning, they have Wikipedia pages about them and their achievements. So compared to them I'm not a big deal at all.. even though a lot of people know me throughout Europe and New Zealand, Australia and in the USA.

Not to ruin your tough guy image, Zee.
But did you consider the similarities to the Mandala making by Tibetan monks?

The Sand Mandala
Mandalas constructed from sand are unique to Tibetan Buddhism and are believed to effect purification and healing. Typically, a great teacher chooses the specific mandala to be created. Monks then begin construction of the sand mandala by consecrating the site with sacred chants and music. Next, they make a detailed drawing from memory. Over a number of days, they fill in the design with millions of grains of colored sand. At its completion, the mandala is consecrated. The monks then enact the impermanent nature of existence by sweeping up the colored grains and dispersing them in flowing water.

It's not an image עֹפֶר‎ it is what it is

I see why you would think of similarities with mandalas....I don't feel that way. That's a meticulously painstaking precise work. What I do is more physical and feel for size. (stop it Nate!)
The way I can explain better: think of you being as small as your pencil..as you start dragging this large size pencil along side of you... you need to force it into the paper to make a mark and then keep walking with it.
It's a bit easier once you you're seeing the beach as your A4 size paper and your rake as a very big pencil.

You need to start signing your work with your company name. Think of the publicity.
