I think Jim Bethel set someone up in Australia with pink stuff..I don't want to search but I think I remember a pink SS370 and even a pink Orbot along with other things. I think it was an "all women" company?

Women are becoming critical of businesses that use pink to get their business. I didn't pay much attention until, while watching an NFL game full of pink uniform bits, my wife told me she was tired of the pink overkill. She feels that it's cold-hearted marketing, pretending to care about women's issues to sell to women. Doesn't matter if the company gives money to Komen, she thinks Komen has more than enough money already and may be taking too much away from other research.
I asked if this was her opinion or if her friends felt the same way. She said they've gotten to the point of actively avoiding things that play on pink.
Companies still might get some mileage out of the eye-catching pink. Or they might be tying the brand to something that has reached a saturation point. If eye-catching is the need another color might be best.
