I guess not too many remove their heater cores like we all should.
What are the actual noticable benefits you see after a good cleaning?
Just wondering, since I just did it this weekend, the carbon buildup was like thick copy toner.

mine lasted about 7000-8000 hours. Jon Don removed and cleaned them yearly. They ARE expensive

You're talking about the tubes or fins inside the heat exchanger, right?

Basically the exterior, the fins. They were pretty coated.
