You do realize that you are not required to use dealership or place you bought it from to get any warranty repairs?
Yeah but then often you have to pay the shop and try and reclaim it from the warranty holder.

Not required to use a shop at all. You just need to have your service documentation in order to make a claim.

Ford had to replace a couple engines for us back in the eighties. Probably would have been hard to blame the holey pistons on missing an oil change though.
