What color are greige nylon carpet goods?

Is it ever sold in it’s natural, undyed state?

If you buy snow white nylon carpet, is it bleached or dyed?

Nylon greige goods are almost always snow white.
Its not sold as is because it has no dimensional stability.
There are dozens of different "whites" just like with paint. Most are actually very light browns.
When I say that I mean that they are dyed with a mixture of red, blue and yellow.

Many years ago when I worked at a carpet factory.

The carpet the carpet fibers were all different colors before they were died. (I loaded the spools of nylon on the equipment several times)

They had different receptors. So. that when dyed the finished carpets were several different colors.
