Has anybody on here ever advertised on radio. Was wondering if it would be a good fit for my business. Ad would be heard on weekends on a Home improvement show every other hr on a 6 hr show. Cost for this type of exposure cost $2k a month. Curious to hear your opinions.

Whats the realistic reach of that show?

Radio ads are generally a longterm return, most suggest 6 months running minimum

I'm in a small demographic so I advertise on 3 (middle age+ audience) of around 15 stations available

costs me $500 a month

We have done quite a bit of radio ads in the past. Some telling about our service, some with two people having a conversation about how great we are, some sponsoring an event, some special discount/promotion.

Did it make the phone ring? Nope, not really. It provided exposure. An awareness of our business.

Short term nope, long term perhaps.
My experience in small town USA.

Chavez got run off ??? What a wimp. Things are supposed to be tough here. That's how we grow! (I'll bet he lurks!). Good guy with a wealth of knowledge and very willing to share. Shame on us if we did run him off. Our loss!

I'm guesstimating in my small town/ rural area my radio ads bring in 1-2 jobs a week

So as has been mentioned it's more about brand awareness for me, not the phone ringing off the hook

Wow, that's a big hunk. How many jobs will you need to book to make that worthwhile? Radio did not work for us. But we are small. Good luck!

I’ve still got an email from about 4 years ago from Chavez with a link to his radio commercial.
If anybody wants me to send it to them ...

It’ll take money
