To be clear, stain magic stain 1 and 40 vol products have a good chance of making the stain disappear. The problem is that they weaken the natural fiber and if you apply it in a heavily used area, that area will eventually fall apart. It's a pat on the back until they scratch their head a year or two later when there is a hole where the stain was. However, to some it's better than being stuck with the stain. I'd just say to use it as a last resort.
