I have been away from the board for awhile so forgive me if this has been discussed already. We have used the rotovac's forever and really like them but I have recently been experimenting with a 13inch 175 floor scrubber and for the $$ I think that this might be a better way to go. I need some recommendations on which one I should look at and also what kind of cleaning heads you guys recoomend for doing apartments. Any suggestions will help. Thanks.

They are kind of small. But, I use an small Oreck with a brush to scrub traffic lanes.

Easier to carry than the 17" 175 that I hate to get off the truck anymore.

Especially if you have to walk a long ways for apartment or lots of steps.

You can carry it with one hand along with a bunch of other crap in the other hand.

(Extra trips kill your body and time.)

You can also, usually get them at a good price from E-bay.

I have been using an old Hild 13" with nylon brush for the last few weeks after my GLS craped out. It' worked fine and is allot lighter than the 17". I got another 15" GLS and prefer that over 175. It's even lighter that the 13" 175 and dosen't damage cut pile. For a two man team it will go faster prescrubing and wanding than using a rotory.
