Here's one of my StairPros tools showing several mods that I have incorporated including the 'puck', swivel HP quick connector and thumb switch. I use a shut-off on my HP lead hose and have eliminated the trigger valve.

No, but it is much more ergomically user friendly with both the vac and HP hoses being low and out of the operator's way. These older Swinger/StairPros do not have the wheels and are much less cumbersome to perform the proper maneuvers.
The swivel feature of the QC allows the HP supply line to route straight down between the operator's foot stance.
