I cleaned a thick rug the other day at my shop. It wasn't terribly soiled so I just lightly wand cleaned it and dried it as well as I could. I'm pretty sure it was wool but it wasn't marked. I admit, I'm not much good at identifying composition :hopeless:.

It cleaned up nicely and I left it as dry as the could. I folded it over itself a couple times and left it outside their office door, knowing they'd be back soon.

Well, it's really wavy now. I haven't seen it but that's how the customer described it to me over the phone a little while ago. She said she has had this issue in the past when it was cleaned by someone else but now it's even worse.

Any suggestions?

Can I get it to lay flat again?

Hi Russ! So interestingly we took all the furniture out and then rearranged it in a completely different way. Amazingly, so far, the rug is laying flat. We will see what happens over the next day or son it looks great when there are no waves! Thanks again for your support and perseverance!
