I saw BTO REO and o think it was grand funk in grand rapids when I was 11 or 12. My first concert. Smoked a joint right in front of the police right in front of the stage.

My first concert was ZZTop at Rickwood Field in Birmingham. Probably 1973
I started off right in front of the stage, but quickly learned that was a mistake. I ended up as far back as I could get. Drugs were everywhere.

zztop performed in Vancouver last year at a locan exhibition. Still great. Less drugs these days.
