I need to try it at 2 oz's to see if it works.

I remember now that when I first read that label and saw 2 to 4 oz's that I blew off the 2 oz recommendation because I saw a Jeff Brown post where he said he used it at 5. (Don't know why he chose 5 instead of 4.)

Ive been using it the last couple of weeks as well as using it in the daycare where i had issues with kids with chemical sensitivities. I use it as a pre spray and where needed I scrub it in. It continues to amaze me as to how well it works.

So why don't you start another thread about it?? What's the point trying to shill for a completely different product in a thread that was started about procyon and it's merits or shortcomings....?

Whats the point? ... Mike asked," What had experience shown you regular users? Where didnt it work?

I was a regular user of Procyon in the past until I discovered the AMAZING Pros Coice Oxygen Release Emulsifer.

Im not familiar with how well it works in this day and age .. if you like it .. good for you !!

I just wanted to let people know how amazing Pros Choice ORE is. Were on this board to help people save time and money if we can. Ive cleaned some nasty residential and commercial carpet with the ORE ending up with amazing results !!

So thats my point .. thanks for asking !!

I prefer Procyon Extreme over the powder. Works better overall to the point that I reach for the speciality spotters far less. Here there is no cost savings either way, but in the US it seems the powder is cheaper. I asked Ivan about the difference, and he said the liquid formulation allows them to add a couple things that boost the cleaning power.

A big advantage regarding marketing to the consumer is that Procyon has practically any "Green" certificate on the planet.
Says nothing about cleaning power but sure makes it worthy for me.

OXYGEN RELEASE EMULSIFIER

Description:

The “Oxygen Release Emulsifier” is a completely Biodegradable safer cleaner that utilizes natural oxygen released during the cleaning process to brighten textiles and destroy microorganisms. When used as directed, “Oxygen Release Emulsifier” will give you a cleaner, brighter, fresher, residue free clean. “Oxygen Release Emulsifier” contains no solvents, no butyl, no surfactant, no soaps and no chlorides.

Carpets cleaned with “Oxygen Release Emulsifier” stay clean longer because no residue is left behind to cause re soiling or contribute to chemical sensitivities.

Usage:

For Truck Mount extraction concentrate, dissolve 1 lb.(approximately. 3 cups) “Oxygen Release Emulsifier” Powder into 5 gallons of water and set flow meter at 6 to 8 GPH.

For portable extractors, dissolve ¼ lb. (Approx. ½ cup) into 10 gallons water. “Oxygen Release Emulsifier” may be used as a pre-spray solution prior to cleaning. For pre-spray solution dissolve 2 oz. “Oxygen Release Emulsifier” powder per 1 gallon of water and pre-spray heavily soiled areas prior to extraction clean.

IMPORTANT:

To achieve best performance, cleaning solution temperatures should be from 150 to 200 degrees F. Higher temperatures will achieve greater oxygen release for better brightening and microorganism kill rate.
We use this on our portable jobs and love it.

Been using Procyon for over 20 years. I use as a rinse in the TM. I think I'm using 32 oz. per 5 gallon solution tank. Meter on 3. Maybe less....gotta check my measuring cup. Haven't used as a pre-spray for a while, maybe try it again tomorrow. Great for chem sensative custys. I buy it at 50 lbs., about $210.00 to my door.

Good for you...we are hitting a bit of a slow down right now...but lots to do as far as shop work and other things that have not got done all year....

But we end up spending more money than making it being in the shop :)

Just finished planning our trip to Florida for the month of January ....me the wife and the pups...

Son in law will be running the show while we are gone and our new guy helping....

Hope all is well and really glad to see you here....

I have been using procyon for about a year now. Best overall product I have ever used. I use a high powered portable with heat and a hot propane heated truckmount. You need heat to maximize procyon, it's right label. I use the plus powder mainly. Make sure you stir well and use as directed. If you need more power go for the procyon liquid. Green seal certified, non toxic, leaves no residue, no odor. - prespray with hydroforce and make up a rinse with it 2 Oz to five gal. Oh yeah. Absolutely, NO FOAM.

I was thinking about giving the Procyon spot and stain remover to my custies-- but it didn't perform very well-- just like Fels-naphta--
but I did like how the Procyon Extreme Clean performed on a white rug when used with the cimex.
maybe I can get the Extreme clean in the custom bottles for giveaways?
