This was a rental, with no spare carpet.

I took took the stain out, and installed it in the hallway cupboard, using teh exact same piece out of the cupboard and placed it back in the lounge room.

Original stain.

So what was the stain and what did you do first to TRY and remove it?

Jimmy, the stain was an unknown :roll: don't you love that!

I assume to be a cordial or soda drink stain on a wool rich carpet been there for an unspecified time frame.

I don't actually do the cleaning for this property management group, only their repairs, so I was not asked to clean, just repair... and paid well for my skills.

from where did you brought that piece of carpet which you stick in that stain area?? did you destroyed another carpet for hiding it?? :lol:

Nice work.
Do you find it necessary to put latex on the freshly cut carpet and the new piece, to secure the yarn, before installing?
