MEMORIES !!!!!!!!!!!
The Outback Steakhouse, shiteatinggrin shiteatinggrin shiteatinggrin
Close to a decade ago (when we were attending Connections), Del & I were taken to an Outback Steakhouse in Vegas by a couple of, let's just say, "entrepreneurs".
They wanted us to try some "Aussie food", probably figured we don't get any down under.
I ordered a "blue steak".
The waitress was somewhat perplexed and asked if I wanted a "New Yoooork steak" ??
(Flamin' auto correct shiteatinggrin )
"No, I just want a Blue steak".
Several minutes later, the chef arrived at our table wanting to know what it was that I wanted.
So I had to tell him how to cook it.
"Mate" I sed, "get out the back to where the cow is, slice a piece o meat off it's arse, and wipe it clean, chuck it on the hot plate until it sears on one side, flip it over and do the same".
Poor bugger couldn't understand me.
Reckons he'd never heard the term before.
A Blue Steak is a steak that is cooked rarer than rare, still has the blood running out.
Tasty and tender as................
Ah, here's another "Outback"
shiteatinggrin shiteatinggrin shiteatinggrin hey Marty, blow me
