So back in August I picked up 3 urine soaked and permanently stained 8x10 bound carpets.
I offered to clean all three for the price of one, or about $330.00. They just weren't worth putting too much time and money into cleaning.
Yesterday I emailed her and informed her that I wasn't going to be able to dye the rugs to hide all the stains.
I gave her the option to take the rugs and pay the full amount or pay a $50 dump fee and she wouldn't have to pay for the cleaning.
So this morning I get her response. She is willing to pay the full amount as well as the dump fee and she apologized for the hassle.
Being a nice guy, I don't feel comfortable having her pay about $380 for something that's being thrown away.
While growing up, my dad had these sayings, "Nice guys finish last" and Nice guys have skinny kids"--- but kindness is a strong trait of mine.
What would be a good compromise or do I deserve the full amount?
