Smelly waste tank, I use this.

If you are doing a bad pet urine job, or sucking up nasty greasy water, use this stuff. add a few ounces before or after your done cleaning. I use this alot and have a 1/2 gallon in each van. Why? because i hate the smell of urine or grease in my van, and it also helps deodorize your waste tank even after you drain it, until your next waste tank clean out day.
I use the orange scented one. Just thought i would share.

One draw back about the 1200 SE - the waste tank gets extra smelly really quick. Worse than any other unit I've used. Not sure why.

i havent noticed that, have you rinsed your tank out lately?

or do like some do and put the hose up to your rear when your cleaning and suction is on.

yep thats the way to do it, i do mine once a week, i fill it clear to the top once, then let it all drain out, then run water into the tank to help get the sand out.

Yeah, and I always run an in line vac filter to keep the sludge to a minimum.

With previous machines I was able to get away with rinsing the waste tank once a month at the most if I always ran a vac filter.

Not so with the 1200.

maybe its because the tank has such a big flat area for stuff to collect. My rage tank has a small bottom in it so as your draining it, the water flows faster accross a smaller area.

could always fill it part way with some sanitizer and drive a like a maniac, start hard, stop hard, swerve, etc to mix it all around when you do your monthly rinse. "no mr officer i wasnt drinking, hiccup"

I had it attach right dead center boob once and had a hard time pulling it off! I was seriously praying no one would walk by!
