I think the pH "guideline" of 10 is ridiculous.
I asked Werner & CRI tech aid at 2010 Connections why they still had the pH recommendation of 10.
After a pause, the tech aid said that it was now for dye protection.
(Stainresist, the original pH problem, hasn't been affected for over 10 years)
I asked about the new CRI Pet Spotter program.
There again, they maintained the pH recommendation of 10.
Well, that eliminates all of the most popular "powder oxidizers" like the one we produce,
the one CTI markets for that purpose, and most liquid two-part oxidizers.
They need an "industry chemist" on their committee.
A good prespray will drop at least 2 pH numbers with a water rinse.

P.S. This is the same CRI who made our commercial level-loop solution-dyed carpet,
that had color loss when extracted with plain pH 7 water.
