There is absolutely no reason why you should ever have to replace any stainless cause you got some cleaner or acid on it. The only exception is the coated crap. Buy one of those home kits from scratch-b-gone. They work if you are not a total moron. I have made a ton of money using that goofy little kit. I have also been reconditioning stainless grills for several years now, before those kits came out.
Don't let them f*%k with you. All stainless can be repaired except the coated crap.
