I'll argue any day on that stupid pmf stair tool swivel. That's the most unneeded tool.

A straight stair tool can be spun around just as easy, without having to worry about keeping it in a straight line, than that goofy looking s bend tool

Matt, the swivel isn't so you can clean the risers. It just gives you maneuverability in tight places. I have many stair tools but I use the Pmf swivel on all my residential stairs. Non Saigerized version. I find the single jet gives me good coverage and not having a glide gets me into the crevice between the riser and tread.

I tired them all in Atlanta and the Saiger was the best if you like the Swivel. Some looked like they would work great until you actually used them. Then some were extremely awkward. I'd bet designed by someone that had never cleaned a step!

You're just complimenting Saiger's just because he's the cool kid in the courtyard. I'm stuck on my stubbornness of that pmf mistake

Actually I'm like you. We only own on swivel and it NEVER gets used. Nobody likes it.

My guys like the Prochem but I prefer the one Olsen sold me a PMF with 2 inch barrel and oversized cleaning head.

Well feel free to send it my way... #WhereToolsGoToRest

I'll place it right next to that powerglide....:eekk:

I've got a Prochem, an old single jet, and a PMF, straight tube, and an s-bend...... I've never used something more awkward than the s-bend...... the only one that gets used daily is the PMF...... love the s-bend for boats and RV's.......... HATE it on stairs..... if a guy was to only clean the tread, I'm sure it would be great......

I have the Saigerized PMF swivel stair tool w/glide. There is a learning curve to using it...I would also say it's more of a production tool as well...banging it out type of cleaning.
I don't love it and I don't hate it, maybe because I don't do the production/fast cleaning. The tool is fine probably with or without the swivel.

Do you think the reason might be that the increase in suction could pull the carpet off the tack strip. Because my prochem stair tool is guilty of doing that several times

I use a short straight tube, two jet stair wand.

Why? Because it beats hell outta the upholstery tool and I seem to have misplaced that cute rotovac stair head for the 360i.
