Hello,

I recently acquired a steamway equinox 7200, Has a newer cat pump and a kohler 22hp engine. What does not work is the Diesel Burner.

I am looking for a new set of electrodes / the burner head assembly part S78665 - or replacement electrodes, they are lose and will not stay within spec distance from the nozzle

Second it would seem the burner cooler/blower motor is on the fritz - At first i thought it was the fuel pump so i added an electric one, and got flames but no air circulation. that would be part 3952050 or 1909775.

i understand from reading the forums John Olsen of http://www.superiorcleaningsolutions.com/default.asp may be the man to talk to, but the contact us does not seem to work for me on his site.

Thanks in advance for information! also if someone has converted a Oil burner to something other than using an external heater like the propane little giant, would appreciate information there too.

HI Chaz I am glad TW was able to point you in the right direction. That is a old machine you got there.

I am wondering though what problem with the contact us button. It opened my email client just fine here. can anyone else try it for me.

contact us

Yeah i just clicked it and nothing happened, figured it was isolated to me.

Reached out to David and left a voice mail this AM - I dont know alot about truck mounts but i am a very mechanical person. The hour machine on the machine has been reset, now reads 300+ hours. I dont know what the factory motor would have looked like but this machine has a new looking Kohler, and everything is in pretty good shape, how can i tell how old it really is?

The Wayne burners link helped. Going to try to clean the mechanical fuel pump again tonight did not realize it was such high pressure 100 psi? any ideas on how much pressure i am supposed to supply the nozzle?

Burner

I have managed to make the burner work - It seems like the fuel pressure is low but i have no gauge that goes to 100 psi. If it helps i can clamp the end of the fuel line with my finger and it wont blow out, i would think 100 psi would push my finger off? anyone have ideas?

I can only make the burner work if i cover the exhaust tube the first time it fires, then its good to go for the most part, unless it cools down. any ideas there? does it seem like my fuel pressure is too low?

Thanks

100 psi is the correct pressure there's a screw on the pump to adjust the fuel pressure
make sure you have constant spark
