That's why I replace my ends and cut the hose a little as soon as it starts to go soft. My heats not extreme any more, max about 230 f. Still hot enough to scald you though. I buy my hoses a little longer, about 125 feet, so I can cut a section off when I replace the ends. I am also a little more careful about how I treat my hoses. I try not to stress it where it connects both to the truck and the wand.Running high heat (steam way) and not replacing your hose when you knew it and had the brand new one on your front seat but wanted to finish the last few apartments....not me a customer who came in and shared these so I can share them when someone argues that their hoses last several years and I’m just trying to sell new hose
