Storing a Oriental Rug

Did a cat urine soaked rug for a custy about a month ago, delivered it and recieved a call 3 days later that the cat had had a field day on it again. She wanted me to pick it up clean it again and bring it back for her to store it until she gets rid of the cat.

I have it all cleaned and ready to return. But, before I wrap it in paper for delivery and storage is there anything special I should do since no one knows how long it may be in storage. Any suggestions I should make to her. I have never ran across any reading that talked about storing for longer periods of time.

If I was to store a rug for extended periods, I would probably use Tyvek.

Paper is fine. If it will get moved around a lot by the customer something tougher might make sense.

Use shipping tape to seal any gaps, or treat the rug with a moth resist product before wrapping.
