Damn i wish i had taken photos.

Anyway the 1st cushion just wasnt cleaning quickly enough and good enough for my greed OCD personality. So I took the cushions back to my "laboratory" to test a variety ways of cleaning them. Each way had its own pros n cons.

1) spray with high pH prespray, scrub and let it dwell overnight, then rinse extract clean the normal way. -- very time and energy-consuming.

2. Spray with high pH scrub put covers in washing machine and wash several times.. - getting them off and on the cushions with a pain in the ass, as the foam was very stiff and would not compress enough when I put them in a vacuum bag system. But the cleaning results were outstanding.

3. Keep the covers on the cushions. Pre spray with high pH, scrub, wash with a 1800 pressure washer. Put in vacuum bag system to Aid in water removal.- this was the easiest and less time-consuming system. That's results slightly less than option number 2 but still very good.

Lesson learned- this was not typical upholstery cleaning and I will charge one and a half to two times above our normal rate for the service.

Pretty durable acrylic fiber. Your chemistry was off, but kudos for the comparisons.

a little bit of volatile solvent in a trigger sprayer goes a long way. Won't hurt the fabric.
I think thats baned in CA. And my customers would freak if they thought i used a VOC.
I used pros choice ultra TLC spiked with prozyme.

Take some margarine and work it in. Then clean.

My biz model prohibits me allowing customers dictating how I get it clean, as long as I damage nothing and leave nothing toxic behind...

:-)

Too risky with these snowflakes im dealing with. 😆😄😄

I sprayer odorcide on these a couple days ago to deal with the mold issues first. Going to clean them now and see how they look when they dry. The 3 big ones are sunbrella I was told. 20190507_103540.jpg
