figure this would be better as a new thread

tell me about the Rage

POS or good RELIABLE little TM?

a friend that worked with me for over 12 years is seriously considering gearing up for a part time thing.
He has a great paying union job (that's how I lost him 4 years ago:() with a schedule 4 days on/4 days off

he does exceptional work, women love him and he's a go getter ..I know he'll do well .
But don't think it would wise for him to drop $40-$50K on an outfit for a pt time gig

with the Rage selling for $12K right now, and decent used vans in the $10-$12K range, he'll be in a much more manageable po$ition

so IS the Rage a good unit?
what's the skinny on them ?
the good bad and ugly...give it up

Thanks

The rage and the 370 have almost identical specs. If you run them side-by-side the only difference is the 370 has a little more heat. You have to modify the rage to 2.5 inch hose. If you do that I think they are screaming machines. We have three vans and I run the rage. I absolutely love it. I put it up against the prochem legend any day of the week. You can't beat it in my opinion. We have had ours for 1400 hours now. And haven't done a single thing to it other than oil changes. It runs like a beast I think it's well worth the money.

I have had one for a little over a year and a half. Well built machine with zero problems. 1000 hours on mine. Runs great and like Adam said, the 2.5 upgrade is worth it. Also get the pump clutch installed for the extra $500.

Have heard nothing but great things about the rage and its reliability.

Really have never heard a negative thing about it, especially when you know and understand what you are buying.

Most guys (I know 3) say they go out 150 easily and. Price a drop of vac at 200 and greater runs.

And it puts out some heat from what I have heard.

It is not 800 lbs. I pulled mine out of one van and slide it down motorcycle ramps. I then slide it up motorcycle ranps into another van by myself . ( of course I am country boy with alot of grit and used ropes ) 1/2 ton van works great for these little machines

Hey Meat.....I still got my 1992 Powermatic for your friend. Come see it and we'll fire it up. About 2300 hours on it.

You might be there awhile. It'll take Mellon 15 minutes to get all that shit he carries moved just to crank it

dont you ever tire of being wrong all the time?

My set up and break down can be done with out taking anything but the hoses off the van.

You've had what 7 vans in your career?

I'm on #23...
