Testimonial question

If someone leaves a review for you online at google, yahoo, linkedin, yelp, etc do you guys think its wrong to use that persons reviews as a testimonial in your marketing, website, etc

I tend to think that by them putting it in a very public place they can't possibly mind you using it in your marketing, on the other hand I'm paranoid about these kinds of things and don't want to upset someone.

I agree with you, it was posted in a public place, but since they are your customers I'd give them a call.

Let them know you appreciate what they posted and ask if you can use it elsewhere.

I've pulled a bunch of Testimonials from public forums like that and put it on my website.
Why not?


And then you should add a link to that forum.
