I’m very interested in the Cleanvo slide in, but I don’t want to be the first to buy it.
I don’t want to be another Pro 1200 idiot.
Ouch I resemble that statement.

I bought mine after Ashley gave his a glowing review and Scott Smith.

Maybe one or two others.

Rick Aranda new I was use to a 405 a very reliable machine.

My 570 kicks butt.

And my pro1200 has been decent now that I understand it.

Well it'd be still better than a SA......... :eekk:

But it's all hush hush.. Every machine has it's problems, it's how they're taken care of is the real testament.. Let's just say I dodged a bullet with the 870..

The only TM available that is easy to service is a TCS unit, but I don’t like propane. Plus, they create so much heat in the van that engines cook in 2500 to 3500 hours.
Everything else is a problem. Sapphire, Prochem, Butler, HM, Cleanco, they’re all a problem. From getting parts, obtaining timely service and finding skilled repair specialists it’s all a problem.
This topic reminds me of Peter Seltzer. Back in his time on the boards, he would always say a single operator needed two identical rugs. He was before his time in that one particular area.

Bringing my 2018 in for engine work… 62k and 1900 hours on Butler

engine ticking and ruled out belts, pulleys and tensioner

frustrating… at the mercy of supply of rebuild or new engines if that is the best solution in my mind

the plan back in 2018 was to purchase a new Butler van every 3 years

with such uncertainty regarding availability , I am weighing options

My Titan575 was very user friendly with maintenance. It did lack performance compared to a 570 with suction and heat. But it got the job done

And my current thermal wave II Vortec is just as easy to maintain as my Titan, but has a bunch more suction.

If I were you, I'd consider the Apex. And I think there's a refurbished Everest with the Nissan Engine for sale on FB somewhere out west

Going from a PTO to a slide in has some challenges. Depends on how they control the heat. Do they bypass to the waste tank? Do they have an automatic diverter? More maintenance having a second engine. Most of the time you have better performance with a slide in. Better vacuum and heat. A little more weight than an equivalent PTO. Loss of cargo space as well.

All valid points…. I can’t envision a scenerario where I would switch considering those factors

If GM gets around to building express vans again I am buying 2 and Seltzering my way into retirement transition

The ticking is probably a coil going bad. I had a $1500 tune up recently that got rid of mine. Replaced all of the at $100 each for the part.
It's a 2010. Running great again.

2 things that caught my attention, both good and not so good.

Good:
- I see that there's a
Hays Bearing Support Shaft
The Hays bearing support shaft takes the load off the rear bearing of the Kubota engine. I don't think any of the other tm manufacturers put that support shaft on their models. I know my titan didn't have it.

Not so good:
There's no water box that holds the heated water before it goes through the exhaust heat exchanger. The last tm I had that didn't have a water box was the amtex. That was a disaster. It was constantly bypassing and overheating the water. The water flow route on the owner's manual doesn't look very good.

You definitely need to take one of these on a full day's work before making the decision to buy one

One of my local distributors had sold 3 of them over the last year or so. None of them speak enough English to understand how they're running. The distributor says they're reliable so far but that's what you'd expect them to say. As far as the pressure, he was a little wishy washy as to whether you could sustain 2000 psi. The cat 3 cp is capable but depends on if it's spinning fast enough. I would rather have the 5 cp. Probably could special order that if that's important to you. As far as slide ins go, it's probably as good as the sapphire 570 or Titan 575.

Do they speak French?

I'd buy another 370 in a heartbeat.

a 46 is all we need for 150'single wanding.

I think your machine has a 406 in it.
Calling it a 46, one would think it is a step up from a 45 but smaller than a 47.
Not the case. It actually has less hg. and less cfm than a Sutorbilt #3 or a Roots 36 blower.
