Kicks ass.

I’ve used lots of VLM gear and here’s what I’ve noticed so far.

The Odyssey digs and fills up pads fast. That’s a good thing and I have no problem changing pads more often.

So light that I just carry it up and down stairs.

It’s a keeper.

you do realize that the PHX will dig out even more, right?

How long ago was it that you started this OP journey?

Your experienced eyes are seeing realities that couldn't be detected, when you didn't understand back then, or you would have kept your crooked Guernkiny machine and not messed around with the others

First OP was a first gen Orbot, then a Sprayborg.

The Spyder I had didn’t have the fit and finish of this Odyssey.

The Spyder also ran at 11/16 which didn’t dig like 9/16. The pad sort of skimmed over the carpet.

The odyssey actually has more head weight per square inch than the Phoenix.

I’ve also owned 3 Mytee machines and a few rotaries.

None filled up pads so quickly.

I converted to speed three on my Spyder but the arm design wasn't as effective as the PHX

HP per square inch is almost the same.
What do you think about the idea of having a 1 to 2 quart mini sprayer attached to the Odyssey that wouldn't disturb the balance, but you could hit dry spots or lube up a pad that's starting to dry up on you just a little bit

I think that would be absolutely incredible and a great idea. The Odyssey agitates so hard that dwell time is only really needed on traffic areas.

Did you pocket microscope it?!?

Where’s the scientific data to support the claims?

Just going by appearance is rather comical on a interim maintenance method that is getting blown out of proportion to be used in a residential setting by seasoned/weathered/washed up old geezers who don’t want to pull hose..

Pad "cleaning" is scummy

yeah, yeah, I know "I've never used the miracle of MF pads, nor experienced the magical transformation when increasing orbit an 1/8 inch"

so I'll concede it "might" be a little less scummy

Back in the Geurkink days , that was interpreted as OP being “appearance cleaning”

These debates are so boring and tired

When it’s “nasty” as you define, it requires Actual rinsing via TM extrraction

Both have their place, when the objective is to make great money

Which should be the ultimate goal anyways

Who wants to doing this garbage in their 70s
