"Hands-on" at an event this size means the teacher get his hands on. No way will they have enough tools and things to to clean for the thousands of attendees Cooper tells us he gets to show up. Or will we be waiting in line to take a turn to whack a rug or clean the side of a cushion?

I can't believe anyone would call that rundown shithole Hilton a "world class hotel & Casino" that's like calling my bathroom a water theme park!

can i wear my IICRC patch,s shirt

No, you can wear your Clean Trust shirt and make sure you get an "Experience" shirt too. It will be valuable when the name changes back.
Stupid name, it is a trade show, not a concert, play or any other "show" that needs entertainment value to hold an audience.
Could you imagine "The Mikeyboard Experience"?

Padded attendance figures never fooled the exhibitors or attendees. Can you quote press release figures when you sell exhibit space?

A little over a hundred paying customers was considered a big turnout for Connections Florida. The half-size show should be able to do some hands-on.

PS: The LVH is starting to look too much like the Riviera. Hilton pulled the franchise for a reason and the property is being run by a court appointed manager. On the bright side, if they stay open room rates and exhibit booths should be dirt cheap there.

It only has room for improvement. The only thing about the event that was worth my time and money was networking with other cleaners. Shame on me for giving them my hard earned cash on what i thought would be educational seminars. I've been to many "Clean Shows" for the laundry\dry cleaning industry and they have real educational seminars and they're packed with people. But Maytag isn't teaching the class! I"m all for distributors pitching in and teaching - Jon Don does a good job - but the others need to wait and give the sales pitch at the booth.

That's pretty much the meat and potatoes of anything...

I've been to lots of seminars that were presented by people that had something to sell and were good information. Organizations that GAS have presenter agreements that ban any product mention from the podium; we had a gentlemen's agreement with the presenters at the Cleaning College. (One gripe I heard there was from a guy that wanted the presenter to just tell him what to buy!)

I was once at an event where an early presenter decided to ignore the agreement and talk up their products. They were removed from the tradeshow and banned from future events. Another exhibitor demonstrated fugitive dye removal and answered product questions with three or four brands that weren't his own. I went to his booth later to get a kit and was too late, they were sold out.

That organization has no issues with presentation quality from exhibitors.

The best thing I enjoyed about these events is talking with other cleaners, ie the association.
Other than that, it was walking through the exhibits looking for the latest tools/ideas/ etc
I never stayed at the LVH anyway. I went across the parking lot to the Somerset, very simple place, clean cheap rooms.
